Dhaka,Bangladesh : In a historic first, NASA Astronaut Joseph M. Acaba has arrived in Dhaka, marking the first time the Chief of NASA’s Astronaut Office has visited Bangladesh. During his visit, Acaba will engage with local youth, academic institutions, and the media, sharing his wealth of experience in space exploration and inspiring future generations of scientists, engineers, and space enthusiasts.
Acaba’s visit is a significant milestone for Bangladesh’s growing interest in space science and technology. He will host interactive sessions with students, encouraging them to pursue careers in STEM fields, particularly in space science, robotics, and technology innovation. As the first Puerto Rican astronaut and a veteran of three space missions, Acaba brings a unique perspective to his discussions, focusing on how space exploration can drive technological advancement and help address global challenges like climate change.
