The Embassy of Bhutan in Dhaka held a memorable National Day commemoration with two key events, attended by diplomats, dignitaries, and Bhutanese nationals. The day began with a ceremonial celebration at the Chancery, where Embassy officials and students gathered to honor the occasion.

In the evening, a grand reception was hosted at a local venue, attracting over 350 distinguished guests, including members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, business leaders, media representatives, hoteliers, travel agents, Bhutanese citizens, and friends of Bhutan. The Chief Guest, H.E. Mr. Sk. Bashir Uddin, Hon’ble Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Textiles & Jute, graced the event with his presence.

Guests were treated to an array of Bhutanese cuisine, beverages, and refreshments. Stalls were set up by Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, and Bhutan Outlet (STCBL) to showcase Bhutan’s offerings. Cultural performances, including traditional Bhutanese dance by students, added a vibrant touch to the evening, while a lucky draw engaged guests in an exciting way.

The Embassy expressed its gratitude to Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, Bhutan Agro Industries Limited, Bhutan Outlet, Ariya Hotel, Bhutan Suites, METO, and PEMA Hotel for their invaluable support in making the National Day celebration a grand success. The event served as a powerful reminder of Bhutan’s deep-rooted cultural and diplomatic ties with Bangladesh.
