Dhaka,Bangladesh: Palestinian Ambassador Mr. Yousef S.Y. Ramadan paid a courtesy visit to Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin today, marking an important step in reinforcing the longstanding bilateral relationship between the two nations. During the meeting, both diplomats discussed a wide range of issues, with a particular focus on strengthening cooperation in various fields and reaffirming Bangladesh’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin reiterated Bangladesh’s strong and consistent backing for Palestine, emphasizing the country’s commitment to a two-state solution that ensures the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. This stance has been a cornerstone of Bangladesh’s foreign policy, and the Foreign Secretary reaffirmed Bangladesh’s dedication to advocating for Palestine on the global stage.

The two officials also reviewed the growing collaboration between Bangladesh and Palestine in areas such as culture, education, and training exchanges. They expressed a shared interest in deepening ties in these sectors and discussed mutual cooperation within multilateral organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Both sides acknowledged the importance of continued engagement and cooperation to promote peace, stability, and prosperity not only in the Middle East but globally.

As both countries continue to strengthen their bilateral relations, the meeting served as a reminder of their shared values and commitment to supporting international peace efforts. The diplomatic exchange highlighted the importance of collaboration in fostering a world where peace and justice prevail, with Bangladesh pledging to continue its support for Palestine’s pursuit of independence and self-determination.
